Welcome to Central Conveyor Belting and Accessories
Maintaining a conveyor system can sometimes be a daunting task. Many machines are years - if not decades - old, and their original manufacturers may no longer exist. Finding suitable replacement parts - even simple ones - can often be a frustrating and time-consuming task as a result.
CCB&A has a simple mission: to provide YOU with the critical spares and accessories needed to keep your vital production conveyor belt machines running. As an offshoot of the conveyor manufacturer Central Conveyors Ltd, our engineers have years of experience in virtually all types of conveyors.
Please hover your mouse over the images below to see a brief description, or click on them to visit the page relating to that topic
Conveyor Belting
CCBA can assist with most belt types, including the ever-popular PVC for general production and warehousing, PU and Silicon for food applications, heavy-duty rubber for demanding applications such as recycling, agriculture or aggregates , steel belts for both heavy duty applications or lightweight cooling/drying in the food industry, and many many more.
Fasteners and On-site fitting
From lightweight lacing fasteners to heavy-duty rivet-hinge strips, CCBA can help you with a variety of fastener types, and can also do site visits to fit belts onto your conveyors and 'vulcanise' them into place.
Rollers
Next to belts, rollers are possibly the items most vulnerable to failure on a conveyor. CCBA can help with replacement rollers in all shapes and sizes, including steel, plastic, aluminium, stainless steel, and polypropylene.
Gravity roller systems
In addition to supplying individual rollers, CCBA can manufacture a huge range of complete gravity roller systems. From light-duty to heavy, we can incorporate anti-rollback units, releasable end-stops, side guides, roller-table junctions, and even lift-up pedestrian bridges to allow staff - or fork-lift trucks - to walk "through" the conveyor. We even have a little video to watch !
Powered Conveyor Systems
Our parent company - Central Conveyors Ltd - can provide bespoke powered conveyor systems, from simple flat belt drives to complex multi-unit integrated systems, incorporating rubber belts, plastic modular belts, food-grade belts, steel belts, and much more. Control panels and Automation
Of course, a conveyor system isn't complete without a method of controlling it ! Our Controls division can provide customised panels, covering everything from simple start/stop buttons all the way up to sophisticated PLC programming and automation, including key safety and monitoring systems.

Please feel free to browse through our archive of conveyor projects. Each of the systems featured where designed and constructed by Central Conveyors Ltd. The belts and accessories you see in them are the same ones that we provide as spare parts; we only sell what we know will work !
Lights... cameras....action
A small (but growing) selection of home-made video's showcasing some of our recent installations. They're hardly up to Spielberg or Tarantino standard, but then... we're a conveyor company, not a film studio :)

Need a replacement conveyor belt, but not sure what type it is ?
One rough guideline is the belt thickness.- Much less than 1mm
- - probably a PTFE high-temperature belt. Usually brown in colour, these food-grade belts can withstand temperatures up to 220 degrees centigrade
- Around 1mm
- Probably a food-grade Polyurethene (PU) belt. These are the workhorses of the food preperation industry, though also widely used in pharaceutical and scientific applications
- 2-3mm
- probably multiply PVC. The most common belt type, Polyvinylchloride belting is a general, all-purpose carrying conveyor belt. Some variations are even food grade !
- 4mm
- Possible Rubber and Canvas belt. Usually a tan brown colour, these are extremely tough belts for specialist applications
- 5mm and higher (up to 20mm)
- If this is a black belt - top and bottom - then it is a reinforced rubber belt. These are ubiquitous in heavier industries, including agriculture, waste recycling, minging, quarries etc.
The Art of Rollers.

- Face width: a less important dimension.
- Over-bearing length. Very important, as this is often the installation width.
- Shaft length.
- Shaft Diameter
- Tube diameter

Of course, there are many other variables that can come into play; for more details see our dedicated Rollers page. Or give us a call on 01509 816064.
